Hi Everyone,
As always I feel that it’s been far too long since I wrote to you! Jeanie and I have just recently finished a three week cycling tour of Germany, Holland and Belgium. As non-professional cyclists I have to say it went very well and we both enjoyed ourselves. Averaging some four hours a day and roughly fifty kilometres I don’t think on our second hand bikes without proper equipment and eating very few hot meals we could have done any better. It turned out that Frankfurt was a very good spot to spend one day spending too much money as we managed to acquire two bikes, one tent, one sleeping bag, five bungee cords and a few other odds and ends all for three hundred Euro and all that treated us very well on our journey.
For the past two weeks we have been back in England, arriving at such time as to catch my thirtieth birthday in a place where I knew people and could see some friends. Fortunately everything went to plan and it ended up being a lovely day spent in the park and then in a restaurant for dinner. I won’t go into detail as it’s too late and I’m too tired to get into anything properly!
I’m sorry to tell you that Jeanie has just arrived and I’ve just realized my computer is not even online! Therefore I’m off to bed and this will be posted in the morning. We’ve just gotten a new computer, a beautiful little Acer Aspire One and I must say I’m very happy with it. My old HP brick served me well for some four years but this little thing that weighs mere kilos is in a class of its own, especially as typically it’s more powerful and efficient than my old one. I’m not one to get too caught up in latest technology but when you take it in such large blocks as I do (four to five years) the change is amazing. I’ve fixed plenty of computers similar to this but actually having my own is a treat!
Okay, I’m getting dizzy now so it’s time for bed. I hope you all had a lovely day like I just did; it was sunny in Shoreham and we managed to spend some time on the beach and in the guarden, what more can a man ask for! Plus there was an air show on so there were loud engines roaring overhead, hehe!
Goodnight!
